So Long ago, Yet so...

And so here we are many days later... Ive been juggling a lot these past few months! Whew! It feels incredible to be able to sit in front of my desk and not rush through some homework assignment, or dread seeing Photoshop popping up on the front screen of my computer. 

Yes, I had the blues.. Ive always heard people complain about how difficult Ones last semester could be and I never took it serious... Now I know! I appreciate this experience and will definitely share my story to my Daughter some day!

On May 30, 2013 I Officially Earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts: Fashion Design & Merchandising.

I Feel Free! Accomplished! Motivated! Desperate for More....

It has been a Very Long and trying road but I am so grateful for every situation, Every, and I give God Thanks!

With That being said.. I have to try and catch you guys up on whats been going on... Ill start with sharing a shoot that i worked on with a Great team!

A Few months back I worked with an incredible Model Holly Marie, Vibrant Photographer Nicole Mitchem Photography, and Awesome MUA Najat Ennaoui !

IDE (Identifying Design Elements) Sweater

I sincerely want to apologize for neglecting the blog but I've been a busy bee and trying to get some things organized! You know how life throws you Humongous curved balls... GRR but everyones bound to get one thrown at them one time or another;)

Its Finally Here! My IDE sweater came in!  I was excited to finally get a chance to wear it! One of the girls I attended IADT- Orl. with, Amanda Umadat, is a part of this amazing Project and I am IN LOVE! She's such an amazing person so I know this is definitely going to be a Great start for Her! Feels Great to support another!!

SlenderBread Magazine Lauch

Saturday night was a Pretty different Night! Awesome Kinda "Different" tho!! Weeks ago I worked with a Model and she invited me to a Launch Party that was happening at Trend Studios in Downtown Orlando. The Salon was really nice and The Launch Party was definitely a Success! It was packed which was incredible because then the networking became more of a demanding thing;)

Me and my Partner in crime, when it comes to anything fashion and fun, attended this event together! We met in "Fashion" School a coupld of years ago and have been awesome friends since! Clorissa Wright is her name and shes also a Wardrobe Stylist ! Shes one of my MUSE! (Secretly;))https://www.facebook.com/xotiq!

It was one of my First Fashion events and I'm definitely looking forward to attending many more!! There was a theme to the event.. "BROQUE" so Yes thats why youll see a great amount of Gold and Black:)

First On Styling

I am excited to say... The pics have been edited and emailed! Yup, the "Tribal Trait" pictures!! That shoot was seriously meant to be:) Everything came together so well! 

Im enjoying the way I feel every time I get through a shoot!! This shoot was my 6th and Ive noticed that I fall in love with Styling more and more every time!

Sherryl Lopez is definitely good at what she does and its very obvious that she loves and enjoys it! This was my first time working Sherryl and I would not hesitate to work with her again. She was calm and very easy to work with! She helped even when the camera was down:)

This shoot was inspired by MY Love of the Tribal Theme thats been lingering around.

Meeting up with a Really good friend, Carmen Harrell, tomorrow for brunch! Its been for ever!! She wants to talk about me styling her for a few shoots she's engaging in! We met back when I first move to Orlando to attend College for Fashion Design and Merchandising back in 2005. I was her "Cheer" girl in the crowd every Sunday night at the "Aka Lounge" in Downtown Orlando. Man do I miss those Sundays nights with live music, poets, Rappers, Singing! She was signing back- Up  for Ce Ce Teneal (Amazing Voice) and now she's doing her thing by herself (http://youtu.be/27RTV2FDSHM)! Cant wait to see her:)... and Talk Buisness:)

For me, its Not for the fame but for doing what I Love to do!! Knowing that I was able to endure so much in life and thinking that Id never get through it, would be the part of me being the Champion! Champion of my Achievements!!

                                                                                             

With that being said, I recently attended a Networking event that was very inspiring. It was held by a up and coming networking organization called "Emerge". Most of their events are held for members but on this particular day the event was open to any one who was interested in networking with fellow goal oriented individuals from the ages of 21- 42. The event was free and they had drinks, food and Casino like games! Gave it a real "Casino" feel. To join as a Member theres only a $50 yearly charge! Awesome, right? Tribal Traits

So, remember I spoke about a shoot I had to style!? 

Turned out to be a success:)! Enjoyed working with Shalietha Ross Mua and her sister, the Hair stylist, Marquinetta Jenkins-McCray! Its always fun:) and Funny!!

Vania Locklin was the Model for this shoot and she was Incredibly STUNNING!! Didn't have to give her much direction because she had already had the posing together! LOVE IT!! Its funny because we were going to have another model for this shoot but something came up and we ended up having to shoot Ms. Vania. She's Half Indian and half african American. (MM#: 2722254) First time working with her but will not be the last:)

Ive been craving to style a Model for a Tribal shoot for a while now and.... They helped with making it happen!

Busy Busy Industry...

Ive been working hard Brainstorming!!! AHHH.. But in the meantime this is whats been happening :)

I recently styled one of my Fav models, bookings4iris.com . This shoot was a lot of fun! The Photographer, Oliver Manuel Photography, was amazing which was extremely hard to believe because he's just beginning as a Fashion Photographer! Safia, Owner of "Lipstick Mixtapes"Lipstick Mixtapes, was the Makeup artist who has worked with many many Models and her Lipstick line is Awesome, just like her work. Lastly there was Kathlyn, who did a Fantastic job on the Hair.

Next I had a Shoot with, Bianca (Photographer, Bianca Jeiselle Photography ) and Model Elizabeth Salyers Elizabeth Salyers. Ive worked with Bianca before prior to this shoot and she's really good at what she does! She has her own style and thats what I enjoy! As for Elizabeth, it was my first time working with her and she was very relaxed and ready to shoot! Cant wait to work with her again:)

I Styled a Shoot with Two Lovely Ladies who are sisters, Shalietha Ross Mua &

Marquinetta Jenkins-McCray. One is a MUA and the other does the Hair styling! They came up with a "Old HollyWood Glam" theme and wanted to include my in it! Yay can't wait to see the Hair and MU! I know its going to be Hot!! Stay tuned....

Also I helped out at a Local Fashion Show for Walk This Way Productions or as we all know it, WTWP, here in Lakeland, Fl. This Fashion Show is always Held the Month of January in Honor of Martin Luther King Jr. The Company's Ceo/ Managers are Angela and Lawanda Bailey. I and my Cousin Masline had a great time and was happy to help out.

Mood Board Kind of Mood

Ive Finally gotten a chance to finish my first Mood Board that ill be presenting to two Models (1 Male and 1 Female), a MUA (Make up Artist), a Hairstylist, a Photographer, and another Wardrobe Stylist. Im so excited but a Nervous wreck at the same time.... (Ahhh) Being that this would be my First time ill be presenting an Idea for a Shoot that ill be Styling.

Today Ive decided to start my New Blog About myself and My Styling! It has Taking me an extremely LONG time to get to "Wanting to make a Blog". Im sure I'm not alone but i definitely feel Alone! (Maybe because its my first Time ever!?) I Guess all the thoughts and questions that Im asking myself will not be answered UNLESS the Blog comes into play! Right?..

Just a Few Months ago i was telling my sister that i wanted to start a blog BUT wasn't sure what it should consist of! Yea, Im a Virgo I know! I Over think EVERYTHING! Everyone that knows me Knows that i Love fashion and i have an eye for it! Not saying that I'm amazing with naming Designers and Materialistic things because, Im not. I Just enjoy putting things together ( Fashionable Things that is). So why wouldn't my Blog be about My Days and Life as a Fashion Wardrobe Stylist!? So.. Here we Go!!
